Cabool Utilities are all inclusive, offering Electric, Water, and Sewer through the City and Natural Gas through Southern Missouri Natural Gas, a company franchised with the City. With rates comparable to neighboring co-ops and a highly reliable system, our Utilities are ideal for incoming new businesses.
Electricity
Cost of electricity at Cabool is one of the lowest in the Midwest. Power is generated by Show-Me Power from water and low sulfur coal and is delivered to Cabool Municipal Electric over a network of 160 kV lines. Show-Me is connected to the interstate power grid over a network of 345 and 500 kV lines. Cabool is served by a system of 7200 volt lines.

Water
Water is brought to the public in both cities from a total of four 1,200′ – 1,400′ deep wells which have a daily pumping capacity in Cabool of 1,728,000 gallons per day.
- Water quality is the highest in the region, so high that a major food-processing company selected Cabool as the site for its plant, at $7.45 for the first 2,000 gallons and $1.70 per thousand thereafter

Bacteriological and other tests are made daily at modern laboratories by technicians approved and overseen by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Water rates are reasonably priced.
Sewers
The sewage systems of each city are designed to serve populations of 6,500. Cabool operates an aerated waste water treatment plant which is augmented by percolation beds.

Gas & Fuel
All options for field are available in Cabool.
- NATURAL GAS. An abundant supply is available from Southern Missouri Natural Gas. The Oklahoma based suppliers has a pipeline from Springfield along US 60 through Cabool’s two industrial parks and the John Ayer Industrial Park are served by natural gas.
- PROPANE. Propane is provided by Red Top Gas, a delivery service located in downtown Cabool.
- FUELS & OILS. Hunter Oil Company is the area marketer of gasoline, diesel, heating oils, and lubricating oils with supply depots and sales offices in Cabool.
Telephone
The area is served by CenturyTel and CGI. Cabool is on 64 strand fiber optics. Call forwarding, call waiting, three-way calling, speed calling, WATS and other modern services are offered.

Texas & Wright counties now serve both city and county residents with Emergency Nine-One-One service through CenturyTel.
Trash and Garbage
Scheduled pickup of residential, commercial, and industrial trash and garbage is provided by private companies.
