This is a special type of loan for a company, cooperation, or partnership that will provide employment, strive to protect natural resources, and benefit the economy and environment in rurual communities.

The goal of SCOCOG (The South Central Ozark Council of Governments) is to promote economic development in the area. The council does comprehensive community planning that includes helping obtain grants and administering grant money properly. SCOCOG also handles the administration of the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) for the area. The DRA includes eight states along the Mississipi River Delta including Alabama to promote the economic development of this region and by helping businesses and organizaitons obtain the capital they need to get started and stay afloat during hard times.
